Crete, Thessaloniki and Meteora are selected as regions of interests to study how social media and crowdsourced content and opinions highlight tourism preferences and trends. The analysis is focused on a period of almost 24 months in total. More specifically, we collected almost 13k instagram posts containing rich information regarding tourism destinations and experiences.
